Do Democrats have 15 second memories? For surely, they must think that we do, if they think we forgot what happened and what they did around the 2016 election and afterward.
One of the most ironic things about Democrats saying anything about the GOP questioning election results is how for more than four years, Democrats did everything they could do undermine the duly-elected President, Donald Trump, and not just question the results, but try to change them.
Democrats weaponized the dossier which was then pass onto the FBI and the media, helping to divide the country and pushing the idea that the president was somehow a foreign agent. There are a lot of Democrats who still believe this fiction.
There were Democrats who objected to the electoral count of Trump, some basing claims, falsely, on “Russian interference” in the actual election. Whatever else was or wasn’t true, what was true was there was no “interference” in the actual votes, according to Barack Obama, who made clear there was no interference in the actual election.
But instead, Obama said of Russia’s interference, “This was not some elaborate, complicated espionage scheme. They hacked into some Democratic Party emails … routine stuff.”
The president said that he had worried the hacks of the Democratic National Committee — and of Clinton campaign chair John Podesta — might presage an attack on America’s voting infrastructure.
“So in early September when I saw president Putin in China, I felt that the most effective way to ensure that that didn’t happen was to talk to him directly and tell him to cut it out and there were going to be serious consequences if he didn’t,” Obama explained. “And in fact we did not see further tampering of the election process.”
Of course the “collusion” claim was also debunked. But that didn’t stop Democrats objecting to the count for Trump.
Democrats objected to the electoral count in Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Guess who did the objecting on Florida? We wrote about it last month, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), now the lead House impeachment manager.

So when you hear him going on about the GOP or President Donald Trump, he was right there in January 2017, objecting.
That wasn’t all. There were also all the efforts to try to suborn/play games/threaten the electors to change the ultimate count. Many received death threats if they were Trump electors, people threatening them to try to get them to change their votes. There was also the “faithless elector” game they were trying. Trying to get enough folks, 37 Republican electors, willing to vote for a different Republican in an effort to deny Donald Trump a majority in the Electoral College.
Democrats including Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI), one of the other House Impeachment managers today, tried to argue that they should be able to have the “intelligence community” “brief” the electors on “Russian interference.” Can you imagine how that little game with possibly the execrable John Brennan involved in the “briefing?”
Democratic protesters gathered at various places across the country to protest the electoral count meetings in the various states briefly disrupting Wisconsin’s Electoral College balloting.
But despite all the Democrats’ efforts, Trump still prevailed in the Electoral count.
So even after that, guess who was talking about impeachment on Jan. 15, 2017, even before Trump was sworn in and hadn’t even done anything yet? You got it, our hero, Jamie Raskin again.

Over 70 Democrats refused to attend Trump’s inaugural, objecting to his election, many refusing to accept him as “legitimate.” Rep. John Lewis of Georgia said he doesn’t see Trump as a “legitimate president.” Hillary Clinton was saying that as recently as just before the the election in November 2020 and continued to push that Russia conspiracy claim that her team and the DNC paid for.
On Inauguration Day, Jan. 2017, thousands of radical leftists attacked Washington, D.C. to object the inauguration.
Over 230 people were arrested and charged with felony rioting, there was thousands of dollars in damage from the damaged property and multiple destroyed cars. At least six police officers were injured. One college student was even arrested and charged with aiming a laser pointer at a U.S. Park Police helicopter.
Democrats then went on of course with the help of the media to push the Russia collusion nonsense and other ridiculous conspiracy theories for years and push impeachment against him twice, even after he’s already out of office.
It’s as if Democrats think people have completely forgotten this history as Democrats hypocritically try to spin what’s happening now. They’re really the last people who should be talking about anything.
