Late last month, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to the Twitter machine to reject Sen. Ted Cruz’s agreement with her regarding a tweet she posted on supporting a potential hearing on “Robinhood’s decision to block retail investors from purchasing stock.”
She told Cruz that she was “happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out.” She then said she’d be happy “to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed” and demanded Cruz resign:
I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out.
Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed.
In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign. https://t.co/4mVREbaqqm

Since that time, a number of House Republicans have tried to have AOC apologize for her inflammatory accusation but haven’t had any luck.
Earlier today, the New York Post managed to catch up with the so-called “Squad” leader and asked her about the tweet and if she would apologize about it. Her answer was rather odd.
Video of the exchange between the reporter and AOC did not have the full question, but you can hear the reporter say “he tried to have you murdered at the Capitol riot” right before AOC responded.
“So, um, that’s not the quote, and I will not apologize for what I said,” she answered before walking away and being trailed by a handler, who muttered something unintelligible to the reporter.

What the hell? I mean, it says right there in her tweet “you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago” and in the next sentence she said she would be willing to work with almost any other GOP who “aren’t trying to get me killed.”
So yes, her quote did revolve around accusing Cruz of trying to have her murdered at the Capitol on January 6th.
First, she gave a highly questionable accounting of her supposed experiences during the Capitol riots – some of which was disputed by her Republican colleague Nancy Mace, and now there’s this story where she’s claiming she didn’t say something she clearly said nearly two weeks ago, which is still on Twitter for all the world to see.
Does this woman ever NOT lie? I guess she’s gotten so used to the media covering up for her long trail of utter bull sh*t that she feels like she can continue to get away with it?
