It definitely seems like there’s a contest afoot for nominating people least deserving of a Nobel Prize.
I reported on the nomination of Black Lives Matter by a Norwegian socialist politician. If there’s anyone who could be less worthy of a peace prize, it’s this group that has been connected to so much violence and lack of peace against hundreds of people across the country. Riots that destroyed billions in peoples’ homes and businesses, with many people, including law enforcement, killed and hundreds injured. That’s the antithesis of peace.
Now there’s another nomination that makes me laugh more than anything else. Stacey Abrams. I don’t know who Stacey Abrams’ press agent is, but for sure, someone has to be working it because media is always trying to make this lady a “thing” nationally and now internationally and it’s a bit like Barack Obama getting a Nobel for really doing nothing. What has Abrams actually done for “peace” to deserve the nomination?
Like the BLM, Abrams is nominated by a Norwegian socialist. Reuters refers to Abrams as a “voting rights activist.” Her nominator Lars Haltbrekken, who’s a member of parliament for Norway from the Socialist Party, compared Abrams to Dr. Martin Luther King. “Abrams’ work follows in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s footsteps in the fight for equality before the law and for civil rights,” said Haltbrekken. “Abrams’ efforts to complete King’s work are crucial if the United States of America shall succeed in its effort to create fraternity between all its peoples and a peaceful and just society,” he said.
Abrams who lost the Georgia election and refused to concede claiming she won is a “voting rights activist?” Who does not have “voting rights?” While one might argue that she boosted Democratic participation, no one is denied the right to vote because of race. How does boosting Democratic participation, assuming she even did that, worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize? What does that have to do with international peace? Again that probably would be the antithesis of “increasing the peace.”
But at least you know what someone is about if they get a nomination from a foreign socialist party.
Yes, anyone can get nominated for the award. But it doesn’t mean anyone should. But it looks like the award, which used to have some significance once upon a time has really gone the way of irrelevance with the choices now being completely political and always sufficiently “woke.”
Stacey Abrams will be happy to accept the award no matter who wins it. https://t.co/Sirjtgozri

She was desperate to get a position from Biden but failed at that, at least so far. So instead she tried to remake herself as a voting power. But as former Utah representative Jason Chaffetz points out, a voter organization she founded is being looked into by the Georgia Secretary of State. Her group was being investigated for seeking to “aggressively” register “ineligible, out-of-state, or deceased voters” before the state’s Jan. 5 Senate runoff elections, according to Fox. The New Georgia Project was founded by Abrams and previously chaired by Raphael Warnock, who was declared one of the winners in the Georgia Senate run-off race.
Abrams is not likely to win.
